12 November over 100 people gathered for an old fashion log cabin raising. Former county  historian, Beulah Linn's cabin was the first to go up, this was donated by her daughter, Shirley. Blacksmith John Reid came and directed the building of his shop. A smoke house donated by A.J. Hofner family from Jefferson County was partly completed.
